Nature inspiring artists and architects
For its 39th edition, the theme of the European Heritage Days are Sustainable Heritage. Let’s explore this theme with a special playlist about Heritage and Environment. Discover how artists and architects have drawn inspiration from nature to create our monuments and gardens!

Meet Dale Harding, an artist exploring the history of his community in Queensland, Australia. Recently, Harding has created wall-based art inspired by rock art sites in Queensland. ‘The landscape was the gallery that my ancestors knew’, the artist says. ‘Working directly on gallery walls is an acknowledgment and continuation of painting stories on sandstone walls.’
