Andiamo a Venezia ! 🇮🇹
On the occasion of the exhibition "Venise révélée" at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris, Art Explora Academy invites you to learn more about the leading artists of the City of bridges. In this playlist, you will discover the great artists of the Venetian Renaissance: Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto and Canaletto. Without forgetting the lesser known but equally talented female artists such as Marietta Robusti.
Watch Associate Curator Francesca Whitlum-Cooper discuss Canaletto and his incredible view paintings of Venice, which were hugely in demand, particularly with British visitors on the Grand Tour. She focuses on Canaletto’s painting ‘The Stonemason’s Yard’, a mysterious and perhaps more unusual Venetian view from the artist.
