To mark the 30th anniversary of the Pyramid, the Louvre invited French artist JR to create a work of art to celebrate the event. This video retraces the process of creating this original collage.
After making the monument disappear in 2016, this time JR is proposing to bring it out of the ground and reveal its secret, by creating an exceptional collaborative work with the help of 400 participants, which constitutes his largest collage installed to date. A process of anamorphosis and collage of strips of paper uncovers the foundations of the Pyramid in the Cour Napoléon, buried for thousands of years, allowing everyone to take the measure and scale of Ieoh Ming Pei’s masterpiece…
