Kirill Savchenkov opens the doors of his studio at the Art Explora – La cité des arts Paris residency programme in Montmartre, Paris. The artist works with different media such as sculpture, installation, performance and sound practice and focuses on the dynamic distance between perception and recognition in the political, social, and technological sense.

The artist’s project for the residency appeals to political agency deformed by manipulative dictatorship and is built around the research about the Paris Commune, revolutionary and anarchistic movements both in France and in Russia.

The artist left Russia after the beginning of a full-scale invasion in Ukraine and is currently based in Paris.
